Welcome to 2020, Sprinks. We’re living in the future and it’s entirely dedicated to my Kween, LIZZO. But because it’s dedicated to the woman who makes us all feel worthy of love, 125,000 people wanted tickets to see her play at the 3,500 capacity venue that is The Forum.
Obviously I don’t deserve happiness, so I didn’t get tickets. But fortunately, because we’re living in the future – I didn’t need them.
So, from the comfort of my couch with no pants on, I experienced Lizzo (almost) live via INSTAGRAM and here’s what I learnt:
- She’s knows how to hold a crowd because everyone in the room was FROTHING
- Whoever designed her lighting deserves to win some sort of award because it was on fleek (lol ‘fleek’, hello 2013 called)
- I will exchange sexual favours in return of tickets to see her next time she’s in town
Some now-former friends of mine managed to get tix and when I asked them how it was, here’s what they said:
Linda – “We left feeling like badass bitches”
Sarah – “Very intimate, and so inspiring.”
While I may not have spent my day feeling like an inspirational badass, I did have two cupcakes for breakfast so it’s safe to say we’re all winners here.
