Woot who did you get to meet backstage?
Johnny Depp. We chatted for a bit and he ended up rolling me a liquorice ciggie from his personal pouch. Minus filters, because Jack Sparrow doesn’t fly that way.
What does fly?
Magpies. The other day I was on my bike cruising the streets when I felt someone throw what felt like a bread roll at me. I looked at the car beside me to grease him off, but the driver refused to catch my eye so I fanged off fast infront of him. Then I felt the hit of the bread roll again. And then again. Finally I got to a red light and turned to see a maggie swooshing me.
You can’t outrun a magpie.
I know. The car caught up though and feeling very battered and beaten by the maggie, I turned to the driver for acknowledgement of the war crimes I had just endured, but again, he ignored me. I was gutted. If you’re going to have an epic maggie-attack you want someone to see it, otherwise it is all for nothing.

Rolling Stone Life Lodge @ Workers Club – only the kewlest of the city’s pop up bars. Yeah you herrd it here. For three weeks only, your good self can check out all of da kewl bands at one of Melbourne’s most iconic music venues. They have lots of JD for you to drank, a barber shop for yaw hair to get did, and many rooms to find yourself a seat, place to dance, or courtyard to smoke in. They have on a sh*t load of fully sikk performances and events, including an in-conversation with THE Jimmy Barnes where they will throw the questions open to the audience and I will be there patiently waiting for my turn. ‘Hello Mr Jimmy, my name is The Sprinkler and it is one of my life long dreams to sing What Your Love Is Gone with you, would you do me the honour?’. Because it IS a question, they can’t kick me out.
Oh and entry is only permitted if you are wearing a leather or denim jacket, so remember the right threads.
