Coda @ Flinders Lane –
Friday night date with secret BF I dated for 6months and no one knew (we worked together).
We were out to dranks at Transit checkin’ the views in the sun, three floors above Fed Sq and talking to random Canadians who thought ‘this city is just great’. I decided to take him to my favourite restaurant down below a laneway-off-a-laneway and BAM we didn’t need to book cos Adam D’Sylva is all about romance and understands that sometimes you can’t plan love, actually. So for people like me this place is choice bro. We sat at the bar with the kewlest light fixtures hanging around our heads and got ourselves a cuppla shar-don-aeeys. Bae bartender was helping us pick all the things and we ended up being cute AF sitting at the bar nibbling on:
Hot smoked salmon, crispy skin, kaffir lime mayo, fresh betel leaf – ALWAYS
Yellow fin tuna, pickled baby lotus root and kabu salad with sesame, ponzu and tobiko – THE DISH I WOULD ORDER FOR MY LAST MEAL HONESTLY
Cone Bay barramundi with jungle aromats – CHANGED TASTE THREE TIMES AS I ATE IT
Would we like dessert? the foxy bar-temptress asked us, refilling our glasses with Kath&Kim’s favourite drop. How could we say no?
Peanut butter parfait, graham cracker crunch, dark chocolate and marshmallow – AND THEN WE GOT ENGAGED
Lols jks we didn’t, but the dessert was that good it had dem feels.
Also soz about the photo we were lit.
